General Info

Teams form mid-August and, after release of rosters, begin practice two times a week. The 2005 season starts Sept. 10th and continues through Nov 13th. Matches for U6 are typically played Saturday mornings between 8am and noon at your home practice field. Matches for U8 thru U12 are played anytime between 8am and 6pm on Saturdays and 1pm to 6pm on Sundays at fields in Carteret County and possibly Havelock and New Bern (U10 to U12, only). There are no matches scheduled for the first weekend in October. Team uniforms (including jersey, shorts and socks) will be provided and can be used again in the Spring season if the player does not change age divisions.  Player provides shin guards, soccer cleats and a ball: #3 ball for U6 and U8, #4 for U10 and U12. These recreational teams guarantee a player 50% playtime if the player chooses.

The coaches are primarily unlicensed volunteer parents (LIKE YOU!) who take an interest in your youth soccer program and its players.  Please get involved!  E-License Clinic: Aug 20-21st, venue Carteret Co., please sign up!  SSL will pay for coaches to attend with a two-season commitment.

For coaching license info go to:   www.ncsoccer.org
